OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Food Manager to oversee our food service operations and work 50-60 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry and hospitality management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality service. As a Food Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all food safety standards are met while providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the food service department, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storage of food products.
  • Train and develop staff in food preparation techniques, customer service skills, and operational procedures.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for food handling and cash handling.
  • Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and coaching to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and dining areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in the food industry or hospitality management is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong cash handling experience with attention to detail in financial transactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
