Trinity Senior Services is dedicated to providing exceptional care for older adults across multiple campuses. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for seniors through a full continuum of care that includes independent living, assisted living, rehabilitation, memory care, and skilled nursing services. Trinity Woods, an intergenerational housing community on the campus of Mount Mary University, is looking for a Culinary Services Director to join its team.
SUMMARY:
The Culinary Services Director is responsible for the planning, organizing, and facilitation of all activities of the Culinary Services Department. They are responsible for the provision of food service to residents, employees, and visitors in accordance with facility standards, including federal and state regulations. This role will supervise the Culinary Services Supervisor and all Culinary Services staff to ensure that resident nutritional needs are met. The Culinary Services Director will assist in providing in-service education to staff and serve as a preceptor for students and interns in the Mount Mary University Dietetics Programs.

Education and/or Experience:
· Progressive supervisory experience in a food service setting.
· Must be a Certified Dietary Manager or have equivalent work experience.

· Supervise the creation of menus based on medical and physical condition of residents.
· Listen and respond to feedback from residents pertaining to Culinary
· Ensure that menus are planned at least two weeks in advance and are in accordance with RDA requirements if needed.
· Plan and direct activities of Culinary Services department providing quality food service and nutritional care.
· Establish policies and procedures, provide administrative direction for menu formulation, food preparation and service, purchasing, sanitation standards, safety practices and personnel utilization.
· Initiates employee performance reviews, as well as disciplinary procedures as necessary.
· Coordinate interdepartmental professional activities and serve as consultant to management on matters pertaining to culinary.
· Develop and maintain accountability for departmental personnel, supply, capital equipment and revenue budgets.
· May drive a facility owned vehicle or personally owned vehicle for position specific or facility related reason.
