This role involves expertly crafting tacos and other tasty dishes, managing culinary operations, and maintaining high standards. Opportunities for growth include becoming a trainer. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Train and mentor team members on food prep, cooking techniques, and standards. · Lead the team during shifts, ensuring smooth operations. · Collaborate with line cooks to coordinate timely order completion. · Uphold high culinary standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency. · Conduct regular quality checks and provide constructive feedback. · Demonstrate strong leadership, motivating and inspiring the team. · Handle challenges with composure, fostering a positive work environment. · Communicate with expeditor to maintain organizational efficiency. · Act as a liaison between culinary staff and management. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: · Excellent knife skills and high-volume restaurant experience. · Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills. · Maintain an active food safety certification Positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure. · Previous experience in training culinary team members. · Reliable transportation. · Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift heavy objects. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: · Previous high volume restaurant kitchen experience. · Ability to read and identify order items on a chit ticket.
