Culinary Center Supervisor - Casco Bay Food and Beverage, a 100% employee-owned company (ESOP), is seeking an experienced and hands-on Culinary Center Supervisor to lead our commissary kitchen and cold food warehouse operations. This is a full-time role is responsible for overseeing production, sanitation, inventory, ordering, shipping, and team development.
Strong leadership, solid communication skills, and a working knowledge of food production, warehouse processes, and safety standards are essential for success in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants must hold current ServSafe and HACCP certifications or be willing to obtain them with company-paid training provided.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in commissary, kitchen, or food service environment strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, ethical, and motivated
  • Computer skills required (labeling, inventory, ordering systems, etc.)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in refrigerated environments

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily food prep, packaging, and shipping of ready-to-eat items
  • Oversee inventory of ingredients and cold food products, including receiving and stocking
  • Set production schedules, delegate tasks, and adjust workflow as needed
  • Order food and supplies; monitor inventory and vendor pricing
  • Establish and maintain food safety labeling, nutrition info, and expiration dating
  • Coach and lead a team of commissary staff; support hiring, training, and performance reviews
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment
  • Cross-train employees to ensure department coverage
  • Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and all applicable health and safety laws
  • Support continuous improvement in efficiency and quality
