The Opportunity
Under the guidance of the supervisor and/or section manager in cultivation, the ideal candidate is a person who pays close attention to detail. He or she must be a team player. We’re looking for someone who can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced, fast-changing work environment. The cultivation technician will oversee all operations, from pre-vegetation, watering and plant maintenance to harvesting, including all related activities.

What you will be doing…

• Carry out various crop care tasks, including transplanting, potting, leaf removal, pruning and pinching.
• Install and adjust trellises for optimal cannabis growth, in accordance with standards and regulations.
• Prepare recipes for watering and/or pesticide application.
• Take environmental readings and determine required needs.
• Monitor plant health for proper care.
• Ensure housekeeping of production area according to sequence of operations.
• Clean and disinfect equipment, pots and trays according to procedures.
• Organize and maintain equipment while replenishing supplies as needed.
• Collect samples for culture testing.
• Update and monitor cultivation activities using a variety of methods, including the use of technological tools.
• All other tasks related to the smooth running of operations.

To qualify, you have…

• Basic knowledge of work methods to work safely.
• Pay close attention to detail with good analytical and observational skills.
• Demonstrate adaptability and openness to reprioritizing on any given day.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• This position requires physical demands such as stretching, bending, walking, standing, work requiring a high degree of dexterity and lifting up to 50 lbs.
