The Health Determinants Research Collaborations (HDRC) Culture and Communications Manager will lead the HDRC’s culture change and communication work. They will proactively engage with diverse communities in Lambeth, particularly those whose health is most affected by social inequalities, leading on the development and implementation of action through the Community Knowledge Network. Your work will help us to understand their experiences, encourage them to get involved, and ensure they can see the potential benefits of a research programme on everyday life for local residents.
The postholder should be an enthusiastic and experienced communications and change expert who can lead on the development and implementation of a culture change programme to develop a research ready culture which enables evidence-based action on wider health determinants The postholder will contribute to the development of Lambeth Council’s research infrastructure to ensure it is sustained beyond the initial funding period.
This post is part of Lambeth’s HDRC (called Lambeth HEART, for health determinants research and evaluation network) and is a fixed term full time contract for 20 months - until December 2026.

Your compelling communications will build bridges between residents, council staff, voluntary sector organisations, academic researchers and policymakers, helping us to enhance our impact and share our stories locally, regionally, and nationally. Your ability to create curiosity and enthusiasm for research in different communities – internally and externally will support the implementation of an exciting programme of change which builds and develops research capability and capacity, taking a clear anti-racist approach to all the work the team completes.
