Description Location: Snow Tire – Athens, GA Job Family: Manager Reports To: Beverage Manager Exemption: Non-Exempt Position Purpose: The Cura Assistant Manager will support the Beverage Manager in leading the Cura team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain efficient operations, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment. The Assistant Manager will focus on team support, excellent customer service, effective communication, and adherence to company standards and expectations. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Team Support and Leadership: Be an active team member who prioritizes the good of the whole team over individual interests. Support the team in maintaining a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Maintain a positive attitude and outlook, setting a good example for others. Communicate politely and respectfully with guests and coworkers. Provide and receive constructive feedback in a positive manner. Lead by example and make decisions based on our company values, ensuring the team is meeting all expectations and upholding our culture and standards. 2. Customer Service and Hospitality: Always provide excellent customer service and hospitality, ensuring the highest-quality experience for our guests. Address guest concerns and feedback promptly and professionally. Foster strong relationships with regular guests and encourage repeat visits. Assist in training staff to deliver exceptional customer service and hospitality. 3. Communication and Engagement: Engage with all educational resources, beverage release information, event information, and lineup note information that is provided. Ensure that staff are well informed and up to date on all relevant information. Communicate effectively with the Beverage Manager and other team members. Keep the team informed about changes to policies, operations, and events. 4. Staff Management: Assist the Beverage Manager in scheduling staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours. Demonstrate ability to lead the team on shift in the beverage manager’s absence by making sound, timely decisions and exercising good judgement, including the ability to balance operational needs, guest experience and staff support. Support the training and onboarding of new team members. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to ensure high standards are maintained. Address performance issues with guidance and support from the Beverage Manager. 5. Operations Support: Assist in ensuring Cura has the necessary supplies to run efficiently. Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained environment. Assist in coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed. Support inventory management and ordering processes. Complete end of day closeouts for shifts. Assist in cocktail menu updates. Requirements Minimum of 6 months of experience in cocktail bar setting or equivalent with an emphasis on team leadership and/or supervisor role. Availability to work nights and weekends as needed. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound judgments. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. Desire and ability to become an expert in the field.
