The Opportunity  An exciting short-term opportunity exists for a creative and organised professional to join our Arts, Culture and Place team as Curator Exhibition Programs based at the Incinerator Gallery  In this role, you will lead the delivery of a dynamic exhibition program that reflects and engages the diverse Moonee Valley community. Working collaboratively across teams and with external artists, stakeholders and community members, you will oversee high-quality exhibitions that enhance cultural participation and contribute to the municipality’s vibrant creative identity. This is a hands-on role that combines curatorial expertise with strong project coordination and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities * Deliver a diverse and engaging exhibition program across Council’s exhibition spaces, primarily focused on the Incinerator Gallery * Actively participate in the ongoing review of the Art Collection, and ensure that valuations, audits, conservation, and repairs of works in the collection are undertaken as required and information on the collection is updated on records systems.  * Coordinate exhibition logistics including scheduling, installation, deinstallation and artwork handling * Liaise with artists, creatives and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of exhibitions * Manage budgets, timelines and reporting requirements associated with exhibition programs * Contribute to the promotion and activation of exhibitions in collaboration with internal teams Skills & Experience You will have demonstrated experience in curating exhibitions within a gallery, cultural or community setting, along with a strong understanding of contemporary arts practice and audience engagement. You bring well-developed project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple exhibitions simultaneously and deliver outcomes within set timelines and budgets. Your communication and stakeholder engagement skills will enable you to build effective relationships with artists, community members and internal teams. A relevant qualification in visual arts, curatorial practice or a related discipline is desirable, along with a strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability and a collaborative, proactive approach to your work.
