Description Curriculum Advisor The Ascendancy Group’s Mission To be the unequaled provider of special operations forces (SOF) and Intelligence Community focused technical, service, and training-based solutions. Overview The Ascendancy Group is seeking a highly experienced Curriculum Advisor with a background in Emergency Medicine to support the development and evaluation of advanced medical training programs for military personnel. This role involves curriculum design, instructional analysis, and simulation-based training support, with a focus on trauma care and expeditionary medicine. This position is contingent upon contract award. Security Requirement: A SECRET security clearance is required. Roles and Responsibilities: • Travel to the customer site once per quarter for two-week engagements • Provide up to 12 hours/month of remote subject matter expertise and consultation • Assist in the design, development, and evaluation of medical training curricula • Identify essential clinical and operational content based on mission needs and medical expertise • Evaluate course effectiveness, instructional quality, and alignment with operational goals • Recommend improvements to course structure, delivery, and content • Incorporate feedback from students and training coordinators into curriculum updates • Contribute to the development of new training materials and knowledge resources • Provide instructional support for trauma and emergency medical simulation devices • Assess training aids and recommend upgrades or modifications • Ensure compliance with Naval safety and risk management instructions, including: o OPNAVINST 5100.19 – Safety and Occupational Health for Forces Afloat o OPNAVINST 3500.39 – Operational Risk Management o OPNAVINST 4790.4 – Maintenance and Material Management • Coordinate training efforts and maintain instructor records for assigned personnel Position Requirements: • Medical Doctorate (MD) with specialization in Emergency Medicine • Minimum 15 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine • Board certification by the American Board of Emergency Medicine • At least 3 years of experience as an Emergency Medicine Physician in a military setting • Minimum 4 years of service on the Joint Trauma System Committee for Tactical Combat Casualty Care • Experience in austere and expeditionary medical environments • Working knowledge of applicable Naval safety and operational instructions • Valid driver’s license • Active Secret clearance • Fluent in English (spoken and written) The Ascendancy Group (TAG) was founded on and thrives based on relationships, reputation, and trust.
