• About the RoleTo develop, plan and manage the Construction area for the applicable Further Education, Higher Education, Full-Cost Recovery and Apprenticeship programmes across all College sites alongside the Director of Curriculum for STEM.
• To manage the day to day operations of the Construction area including the deployment of staff, timetabling and resource management. Ensuring that the Construction area works effectively with the English & Maths team to provide learners with aspirational skills that form part of the drive for a Destination Curriculum.
• To report, periodically, on quality assurance within the Construction area, undertaking regular learning walks, lesson observations and scrutiny of key data sets for attendance, retention, value added and pass rates.
• To ensure that outcomes for learners are high by agreeing key performance targets for attendance, retention, achievement and pass rates with the Director of Curriculum and ensuring that the Construction team deliver them.
• To manage, alongside the STEM Director of Curriculum the budget for the Construction area ensuring that is reviewed regularly and remains in balance through-out the year. This will include ensuring that income targets for the area are delivered and that resources are deployed effectively.
