Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

The BCTR is seeking to hire a full-time Curriculum Development & Innovation Coordinator to develop and administer a new curriculum in translational research science. In addition, the Coordinator will administer the BCTR Scholars Program, a community-engaged learning program within the BCTR in which undergraduates develop translational research skills that they apply in summer internship placements with local community organizations. Across these responsibilities, the Coordinator will manage partnerships and build collaborations within the college and in external community organizations.
While position responsibilities vary, every member of our community is expected to foster a culture of belonging and a healthy work environment by communicating across differences; being cooperative, collaborative, open, and welcoming; showing respect, compassion, and empathy; engaging and supporting others regardless of background or perspective; speaking up when others are being excluded or treated inappropriately; and supporting work/life integration of oneself and others.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree and 5 to 7 years relevant experience or equivalent combination
  • Experience developing curricula and/or student programming.
  • Ability to assess student learning or program success and make recommendations for program improvement.
  • Experience working with community partners in academic or research settings.
  • Ability to manage relationships between multiple constituencies, including community organizations.
  • Demonstrated skill in understanding cultural differences.
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
