JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Curriculum & Instruction Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Curriculum & Instruction Specialist plays a key role in ensuring cohesion and quality in the K-12 curriculum throughout the academic year. This position involves collaboration with educators, development and facilitation of professional learning experiences, and active participation in Equation 2 Success (E2S) initiatives. The Specialist will meet regularly with E2S Leadership, leading efforts in curriculum support, data gathering, and implementation of strategies that elevate instruction and student engagement.

EXPERIENCE

• Experience in curriculum design and professional development
• Experience as a K-12 educator
• Strong facilitation, communication, relationship-building skills
• Ability to collect, interpret, and act on qualitative and quantitative feedback
• Public speaking
• Demonstrated commitment to student-centered, culturally responsive education
• AI Familiarity
  Job Types: Part-time, Contract
  Pay: $2,000.00 per month
  Expected hours: 10 – 12 per week
  Work Location: Hybrid remote in Los Angeles, CA 9001

Curriculum Development

• Provide guidance to ensure alignment and consistency across core curriculum
• Design engaging, standards-aligned activities

Educator Collaboration

• Meet with teachers to discuss instructional strategies, curriculum, and gather feedback
• Attend E2S leadership meetings to ensure alignment with organizational goals and initiatives

Professional Development & Facilitation

• Lead professional development sessions
• Support planning and data collection through teacher meetings

Role includes, but not limited to:

Community Engagement & Representation

• Represent E2S for school site and district events
• Serve as a visible and approachable partner to school leaders, educators, and families

E2S Initiatives

• Support E2S programs and initiatives as needed, contribution to the organization’s broader mission of educational equity and excellence
