The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.

ABOUT THE ROLE

CTPD is leading the development of sequenced lesson plans to support the implementation of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0, with a focus on the priority areas of English, Mathematics, Science, and Design and Digital Technologies.
We are seeking a Curriculum Lead to contribute to the development and implementation of high-quality lesson plans in Design and Digital Technologies. This position plays a key role in ensuring that teaching and learning resources reflect contemporary curriculum and evidence-based pedagogical approaches.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in Design and Digital Technologies and a strong understanding of curriculum development, with a focus on explicit teaching and evidence-based instruction.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position available until 30 June 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development of lesson plans, ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements and pedagogical best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including content suppliers, to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance of resources.
  • Oversee project planning and contract management to support effective delivery of curriculum materials.
  • Engage across the department to clarify and promote the use of evidence-based teaching and learning approaches.
  • Coordinate teacher input and independent quality assurance processes to uphold high standards in lesson plan design.
