We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Curriculum Lead in Maths to join our dynamic English and Maths department. This is a key position that plays an integral role in shaping and delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and student outcomes across our maths provision. This opportunity is ideal for an established curriculum leader or an experienced lecturer looking to take the next step in their career.
As Curriculum Lead, you will coordinate and oversee the day-to-day delivery of maths programmes, ensuring a consistent and outstanding learning experience for all students. You will manage a dedicated team of lecturers and support staff, providing clear direction and effective line management to ensure the timely completion of planning, quality assurance and assessment activities.
The successful candidate will lead on curriculum development, contributing to both the strategic direction and continuous improvement of provision, working collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders. You will be a proactive role model, supporting excellent classroom practice, innovation in teaching, and use of digital learning technologies.
Key responsibilities include overseeing student progress tracking, internal and external verification processes, managing student morale and discipline, and contributing to college-wide quality assurance systems. You will also play a key role in college events and promotional activities, as well as liaising with awarding bodies, employers, and external verifiers.
To be considered, you must hold a relevant degree and a Level 5 teaching qualification (or be close to completion), with demonstrable teaching experience and a proven impact on student achievement. Leadership or coordination experience in an education setting is essential, alongside a thorough understanding of current curriculum reforms and sector developments.
