Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Patri Artisan Curry Chef, you will be the custodian of our signature curries and gravies – from silky makhanis and smoky bhunas to bold regional specials. Your role blends craftsmanship, precision, and leadership in a high-energy kitchen environment.

You will:

  • Prepare, cook, and finish Patri’s signature curry range to standard recipes and HACCP guidelines.
  • Manage bulk prep and daily cooking, ensuring consistency in taste, aroma, and presentation.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs and interns in spice handling, curry techniques, and plating.
  • Innovate seasonal specials while respecting Patri’s heritage recipes.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene, stock rotation, and allergen awareness (Natasha’s Law compliance).
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and FOH team to deliver smooth service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recipe Mastery: Execute curry bases, sauces, and finished dishes at scale with precision.
  • Consistency: Maintain portion control, GP%, and plating standards across multiple sites.
  • Compliance: Adhere to HACCP, food safety, and allergen protocols.
  • Teamwork: Guide and support fellow chefs, fostering a culture of respect and learning.
  • Innovation: Suggest new dishes or improvements aligned with Patri’s brand story.
