Overview ***This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP*** ***This Job Posting only applies to RMI Citizens and must be authorized to work in the RMI to be considered for this Job*** Under general direction, directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities of staff performing Custodial services and Laundry/Textile Repair Services for the Support of USAG-KA occupants. Coordinates in close collaboration assigned activities with other divisions, departments and provide administrative support with the V2X LOGCAP V staff, custodial, laundry personnel. and ensures that all the laundry equipment and any other relevant things are in proper working condition and that all the linen and garments are washed and cleaned properly by ensuring adherence to the USAG-KA Policies, Vectrus LOGCAP V Policies and Standard Practices (PS&P’s), Performance Work Statement, Quality Plan, Safety Plan, and OSHA requirements and guidelines. He/she is responsible for ensuring that the laundry generates good profit margins and that the customer complaints are kept to a minimum level, and that if there are any issues they are being solved promptly. While overseeing the work of his/her subordinates, he/she makes sure that all the safety and health regulations have been followed. Verifies actual hours worked by personnel to reduce manpower expenditure. Works in a challenging and fast-paced job with last minute changes that may require immediate attention, to satisfy the customer. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Responsible for oversite and management of Custodial Services at one (2) location/site and (1) Laundry/Textile Services site daily. Directly or through supervisory staff selects, trains, motivates, and evaluates assigned personnel; works with employees to correct deficiencies; implements discipline and termination procedures. Directs or conducts the administrative functions of custodial laundry services by developing short- and long-range operating objectives and determining organizational structure and staffing requirements. Prepares written reports, memoranda, and correspondence on a variety of matters regarding the administration and operation of custodial services. Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for custodial services; assigns work activities and projects; monitors workflow; reviews and evaluates work products, methods, and procedures; meets with staff to identify and resolve problems. Monitor the quality of work by the staff responsible for providing custodial services related to the care, maintenance, and cleaning of assigned buildings/facilities and linen exchange through routine inspections and customer feedback. In addition to the above responsibilities ensures that all the laundry equipment, machinery and premises are being maintained well. Manage the day-to-day cleaning to ensure all laundry shall be washed in accordance with appropriate manufacturer equipment settings and/or the references listed in the PWS regarding Laundry Services to ensure that laundry is clean, disinfected, washed, dried, ironed, delivered, and stored in a proper manner, to ensure excellent. Customer satisfaction. Maintain adequate supply of clean linen for guest rooms and F&B outlets by monitoring inventory levels, anticipating demands, controlling production, and maintaining necessary chemicals and supplies. He/she makes sure that the clothing is clean, disinfected, washed, dried, ironed and stored in a proper manner, to make the client content and satisfied. The laundry manager in addition to the above responsibilities ensures that all the laundry equipment, machinery and premises are being maintained well. Oversee the administrative processing and maintenance of Custodial and Laundry Services documents to reflect accountability, losses, gains, or applicable changes of personnel. Reviews and approves bi-monthly work schedules, subordinate work assignments, timecards, and initiates overtime forecasts requests, or adjusts schedules as necessary (subject to swing shift) to assist other sections when short staffed or when mission surge occurs. Responsible for property book and GFE accountability of all equipment for the Custodial and Laundry Services. When opening occur in the sections, request replacements through the Vectrus Human Resources and recruiting and conducts the interview process of potential candidates and submits selected candidates to HR Recruiting for review and approval for employment to Custodial and Laundry services. Performs other duties and assignments as required. Qualifications Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High School diploma plus vocational training in administrative sciences, Associate degree preferred. Must possess a driver’s license from country of origin for the purpose of obtaining a USAG- KA driver’s license. Experience: Requires eight (8) years custodial and laundry experience Requires five (5) years supervisory experience – custodial field preferred Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures exceeding 80 degrees Fahrenheit and frequent rainfall. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, humid, tropical environment with average temperatures of 80 degrees throughout the year. Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. Physical Requirements: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
