Key Responsibilities Supervisory: Reports to and collaborates with Facility Manager(s) to: · Hire, train and supervise custodial staff · Organize and oversee custodial schedules and daily work assignments · Assist with timely and constructive performance evaluations · Participate in employee discipline and termination as needed and in accordance with company policy Duties: · Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties throughout the facility · Cleans and maintains concrete, epoxy and VCT floors · Clean windows, sills, vents, and carpets · Performs minor repairs and routine maintenance, including replacing lights and clearing minor clogs in drains and toilets · Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, cafeterias, and high traffic areas · Performs limited grounds maintenance including external trash pickup, upkeep of picnic areas and snow removal as needed · Maintains a neat and organized custodial inventory and equipment storage · Ensures cleaning supplies and material are stocked, inventoried, and ordered as necessary · Monitors and adjusts daily cleaning schedules to align with facility needs · Performs other related duties as assigned · Works flexible hours to accommodate business needs, including occasional nights and weekends Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: · Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of cleaning chemicals and sanitizing solutions · Ability to operate standard floor cleaning equipment such as Tennant T300 floor machines · Ability to operate floor buffing and burnishing equipment · Ability to perform basic repairs and use tools associated with routine maintenance · Ability to interact professionally with coworkers and other departments Physical Requirements: · Must be able to frequently stand, lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time Education and Experience: · High school diploma or equivalent required · Must pass a background check · Proficient with computers, including the ability to create and modify excel spreadsheets, · Ability to learn and use the company’s CMMS to create, track and close work orders. (CMMS Training Provided) · Experience in buffing/burnishing VCT flooring preferred Compensation & Benefits: · Salary (Non-Exempt): Commensurate with experience · Eligible for overtime in accordance with company policy and state and federal law · Medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee contribution required) · 401(k) retirement plan · Paid time off and holidays
