JOB DESCRIPTION

Custodial Worker - Under general supervision of the Housekeeping Manager performs daily custodial tasks in all Marion Campus buildings. Operates commercial cleaning equipment to maintain interior and surrounding exterior areas of all campus buildings. Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of Marion Campus Cleaning Policies and Procedures Guide; proper usage of floor equipment and cleaning chemicals energy conservation measures; emergency evacuation procedures; OSHA and university specified safety practices; may work alone or with the campus housekeeping team. Assists with snow and ice removal; set-ups and tear-downs. Interacts with campus faculty, staff, students, and visitors with a positive attitude; reports vandalism and safety issues. Subject to emergency call in.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must maintain valid Ohio driver’s license. Good work history with proven good attendance, ability to work well with diverse groups of people strongly desired. Walking from building to building on campus will be required. Regular 40 Second Shif
