This role ensures that buildings are cleaned and sanitized according to established standards, contributing to a healthy and professional atmosphere for staff, visitors, and clients. Essential Functions: * Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, classrooms, common areas, and breakrooms * Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors * Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly * Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment * Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors * Restock cleaning and sanitation supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) * Maintain janitor closets & equipment in a clean, organized, and safe manner. * Must understand and follow company safety policies. * Must be able to adhere to the responsibilities and physical requirements of the job. * Must be able to follow oral and written instructions, prioritize tasks, and work effectively with a team. * Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools safely * Follow cleaning schedules, checklists, and safety procedures * Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals. * Set up / take down of event materials. * Lifting, loading, unfolding and moving tables, chair, materials, and other equipment as needed. * Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to supervisors * Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations Additional Responsibilities: * Safety Minded * Ethical Conduct * Ability to communicate clearly and accurately. * Results Driven * Team Oriented Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent preferred * Previous custodial or cleaning experience is an asset * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively * Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and safe handling procedures * Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness * Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor Safety/Physical Requirements: * Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods * Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Requires repetitive bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, and squatting. * Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. * Good visual and spatial perception. * Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc. Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required by the employee for this job.
