Responsibilities

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Custodian is responsible for cleaning and preparing vacant properties within our housing portfolio to ensure they are maintained to a professional and presentable standard. This role plays a key part in supporting property readiness by delivering thorough cleaning services that meet company requirements and expectations. Working as part of a team, custodians ensure properties are hygienic, safe, and visually appealing for incoming tenants or inspections. The role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork, with an emphasis on quality service.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES ESTIMATED

  • Conduct assigned custodial tasks within housing portfolio
  • Mop/steam clean floors
  • Steam clean carpets, lounges, armchairs, beds and other upholstered furniture
  • Remove calcium scale build up in showers and bathrooms
  • Dusting and cobweb removal
  • Cleaning blemishes and marks on surfaces hi/lo
  • Conduct all actions to ensure highly rated customer service is provided to customer(s)
  • Maintain necessary cleaning supplies needed in provided transport (Van)
  • Maintain and store all inventory of all supplies for custodial staff.
  • Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliances at site and within the workplace
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested

While Amentum is responsible for providing a safe workplace and is responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements of the EHS Handbook, each person is responsible for:

  • Completing work tasks in a safe manner
  • Reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor and/or PMO/EHS Manager
  • Continuous adherence to the environmental, health and safety procedures outlined in the EHS Handbook during the performance of their work
  • Red-Carding a Job - Employee right and responsibility to “STOP WORK” if a job is unsafe or possess a danger to the environmen
