Description
As a team member of the Maintenance team, the Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency within an industrial environment. This role goes beyond basic janitorial duties, involving specialized cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and productive workplace within AMSOIL standards. This position reports to the AMSOIL Center in Superior, Wisconsin and has a core work schedule of Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. Core Responsibilities: General Cleaning Sweep, mop, vacuum and scrub floors in production areas, warehouses, offices, and common spaces. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and commons areas. Wash windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed. Dust furniture, HVAC vents and other surfaces as needed. Keep breakrooms and restrooms stocked with consumables Waste Management Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and industrial waste according to AMSOIL Standards. Specialized Industrial Tasks Operate drivable floor sweeper, floor scrubbers and forklift as required. Safety & Compliance Follow OSHA and Amsoil safety guidelines. Report spills, leaks, or safety hazards immediately. Maintenance Support Perform minor repairs (e.g., changing light bulbs, painting). Assist maintenance teams during deep-cleaning projects. Inventory & Documentation Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies. Maintain logs of cleaning activities and safety checks within CMMS system (Limble) Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. 1+ years of experience cleaning in an industrial environment. Available 40 hours/week Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. Forklift certification preferred (training is received on the job). Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and the ability to be insurable for AMSOIL INC. vehicles. Must be able to work as part of a team and be capable of self-direction. Must have high attention to detail and desire to produce quality work. Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and repetitively lift for long periods of time. Other Details: Pay Type - Hourly Pay Rate - $18.00 to $20.00/hour depending on relevant skills, experience, and education.
