Description Solterra Academy provides comprehensive special education for students aged 5 to 22 requiring intensive intervention due to severe emotional, behavioral, cognitive, developmental, and/or learning challenges. We believe in fostering a supportive and individualized environment that aids in each student’s growth and development. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian and Maintenance Associate to ensure the daily cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our school facilities. This role is vital in maintaining a safe and well-kept environment for students, staff, and visitors. Reporting to the Facilities Director, you will perform cleaning tasks, routine maintenance, and support school operations. Position Type: 12-Month, Full-Time Hourly Position Hourly Rate: $20.00 Schedule: Monday - Friday (occasional evening shifts may be required for coverage) Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM Responsibilities: Cleaning Clean offices, classrooms, and common areas, ensuring a sanitary environment. Vacuum carpets daily and shampoo carpets as needed. Collect and properly dispose of trash and recyclables. Sanitize bathrooms daily and empty/clean refrigerators weekly. Maintain and store cleaning tools and equipment. Maintenance Perform routine repairs and servicing of buildings, equipment, and fixtures. Strip, wax, and buff hallways when assigned. Maintain grounds, including lawn care and snow removal. Install partitions, ceiling tiles, and floor coverings. Assemble and install new furniture and equipment. Change light bulbs and perform minor painting tasks as needed. Building Support Assist with moving and arranging furniture for events and meetings. Accept and distribute deliveries. Support the set-up and breakdown of stages, chairs, tables, and more. Compliance Follow Aramark Best Practices for cleaning tasks. Safely handle chemicals and follow MSDS guidelines.
