Description Kennebec Valley Community Action Program (KVCAP), which seeks to strengthen individuals, families and communities through direct services and community collaborations that create solutions to poverty, is looking to hire a self-motivated full time Custodian/Assistant Maintenance Technician within our Facilities department. Working the hours of 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM. This position also substitutes other custodial staff in their absence. Requirements Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel or crouch. Carry and move furniture, supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds; perform repeated lifting, bending and twisting on a daily basis. Qualifications: One-year experience in general cleaning, sanitation practices and minor maintenance and repair work. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to adjust work schedule according to weather conditions and/or as coverage is needed Flexible and willing to work on a variety of projects independently. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of staff and client information. Possess a valid State of Maine driver’s license and have use of a vehicle insured to State of Maine requirements Ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, Department of Motor Vehicle, Department of Health and Human Services, Fraud and Sex Offender Registry background checks.
