The Boys and Girls Club of Niagara is seeking candidates to carry out the duties of Centre Custodian at Boys and Girls Club of Niagara – 1 Candidate for our EJ Freeland Centre at 1555 Garrison Rd, Fort Erie.
The Centre Custodian is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of the Facility and Equipment Cleaning at the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara. The Centre Custodian is responsible to the General Manager.

The Centre Custodian is a part-time hourly position, ranging from 0 to 34 hours per week. The hourly wage is between $18.00 and $19.00. Regular shifts include two weekday evenings (4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) and Saturdays (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.).

• Able to secure a current Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector obtained within the last 6 months
• Standard First Aid with CPR-C
• A valid Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle
• Experience in the safe use of various tools, both hand operated and power
• Knowledge of building systems and components to make minor repairs, or improvements

Deliverables include but are not exclusive to:

• Clean offices, meeting chambers and recreational facilities
• Mop tile and concrete floor areas
• Vacuum all carpeted areas
• Dust all furniture and fixtures as required
• Wash and disinfect all washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, hand dryers and fixtures
• Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans
• Clean entrance and exit including glass, doors and hardware
• Keep the outside area near the exit and entrance clear of snow, cans, paper, etc.
• Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs
• Wash and buff floors with a floor polisher
• Wash entrance and exit floors
• Facility and equipment are cleaned and maintained as per handbooks:
• Grounds maintenance meets industry standards;
• Training attended and certifications maintained.
• Complete tasks as assigned
• Travel to all centres in the Niagara Region as required
