PURPOSE OF POSITION: A Custodian at Catholic Charities: Vacuum hallways at least once daily and classrooms 2 to 3 times weekly and keep them free of trash. Vacuums offices weekly. Sanitize toilets and washbasins in all bathrooms daily. Mop floors in all bathrooms at least once daily. Keep trash picked up from all playground areas and surrounding sidewalk areas. Refill toilet paper, paper towels and soap dispensers at the end of each day and as necessary during the day. Keep walls in hallways and classrooms clean. Wash windows throughout the classrooms as needed but at least quarterly. Strip and waxes floors if applicable, on an as needed basis. Dusts blinds and other surfaces weekly. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Ability to remain calm in an emergency and/or confrontational situation. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Salary: $19.00-$20.50 per hour. Full Time. Training: We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their career. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in hallways, classrooms, and bathrooms, including vacuuming, sanitizing, and trash removal. Additional duties include refilling supplies and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the facility.
