Annual Salary: $37,440.00 - $38,571.00 Hourly: $19.20 - $19.78 Department: Budget, Finance & Revenue Collections, Culture & Recreation Division: Special Facilities FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Description: In this role, you will keep facilities and surrounding areas in clean and orderly condition for visitors, tenants and/or rental customers. Examples of Duties: Dusts, sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums all floor space, porches, stairs, walls, duct and beam work, exhibit structures, overheads and restroom fixtures. Waxes and buffs historic wood flooring in facilities, following specified maintenance schedule. Cleans windows and other glass as necessary. Polishes and maintains brass fixtures, wood trim, and other surfaces. Replaces light bulbs in fixtures, overheads, and exhibit structures. Empties trash and garbage containers. Clean debris from sidewalks and porches as required. Notifies management concerning need for repairs or additions to the facilities. Responds to questions from visitors, tenants and rental customers regarding the facility and general information. May perform detailed cleaning of facilities following rental events. Completes simple maintenance tasks using basic equipment such as hammers, drills, paint brushes, etc. as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: High school education or GED; and 6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Necessary Requirements: May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs.
