MacPhee Ford is looking for a full-time Custodian to take care of the buildings on its property. This position is a day-time position, that will involve cleaning and maintaining order during business hours.
Job Summary
Keep buildings clean and orderly. Perform routine cleaning duties, including mopping floors, washing walls, glass and work stations, wiping down high traffic areas and removing rubbish.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Clean washrooms and replenish supplies. (soaps, paper towels, hand cream, etc.)
· Clean and maintain tidiness in the showroom, service and parts areas during the day.
· Collect and dispose of trash.
· Sweep and damp mop floors.
· Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement.
· Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces.
· On a routine basis wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
· Seek out areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to complete the task.
· Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
· Previous housekeeping/custodian experience is an asset.
· Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Able to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate must have reliable transportation and the physical ability to perform all aspects of the job.
