Today, Kalesnikoff is at the forefront of innovation, combining decades of expertise with cutting-edge technology to redefine what’s possible in wood design and construction.Role and Objectives:The Custodian, under the direction of the KLC Resource Supervisor, is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the common areas. The areas of responsibility would include, but are not limited to, bathrooms, lunchrooms, offices, and boardrooms.Responsibilities:Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.Working safely in industrial sitesDriving safely to each working facility (and around the sites themselves)Cleaning breakrooms, bathrooms, and officesCleaning touchpoints, like doorknobs, light switches, common handles/switches on equipmentEmptying recycling and garbage binsRestocking items such as soap, tissue, toilet paper, paper towels in bathrooms, lunchrooms, etc.Restocking Janitorial Supplies and noting inventory/re-order needs.Cleaning windows, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floorsDusting fixtures, shelves, and other areasWiping/detailing couches in “Welcome Centre(s)”Completing cleaning/custodial logs as neededOther duties as requested or required (painting, weed whacking, etc.)Requirements:Highschool, GED or equivalent preferredSelf-motivatedAbility to work well alone, as well as communicate with various teams and people across both sitesAbility to work safely in an industrial siteAbility to work a variety of shiftsMust be able to be on feet and moving for an 8-hour shift, 40 hours per weekClear Criminal Record check – as access to multiple offices, and codes to buildings is expected.Driver’s License, with a clean driving abstract (driving to and from each site is a part of the role)Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools, including, but not limited to brooms, mops, floor scrubbers, weed whackers, pressure washers, etc.Working Conditions:Overtime as requiredTravel between sitesOccasional exposure to weather when walking between buildingsModerate amounts of stooping/bending/crouching, reaching, handling, finger dexterityFrequent walking, standing and hand-movements associated with cleaningUse of Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves, masks, and glasses when cleaningUse of Personal Protective Equipment will be required when entering cleaning in production facilitiesAbility to occasionally lift 25-30 lbs.Compensation Package:Wage: 26.50 per hourSchedule: Monday – Friday, 1:00pm – 9:30pmExtended health benefits including health, dental, vision, travel, Health Spending Account and RRSP program.Team building and social events.Training, development, and mentorship opportunitiesOpportunity to advance in your career.Work-life balance.A great culture where we truly value our employees.How to apply:To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter to careers@kalesnikoff.com.Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.At Kalesnikoff, working safely is an expectation.
