Job Details Job Location: 369 PROGRESS DRIVE - MANCHESTER, CT 06042 The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across multiple manufacturing buildings. This role performs routine cleaning of restrooms, conference rooms, offices, and common areas, supports basic shop-floor cleanliness, and travels between facilities as scheduled. Key Responsibilities Facility Cleaning & Maintenance Perform daily cleaning of restrooms, including sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring cleanliness standards are met. Clean and reset conference rooms, including tables, chairs, floors, whiteboards, and presentation areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust office spaces, hallways, breakrooms, and entryways. Empty and replace trash and recycling receptacles throughout all facilities. Clean windows, doors, and interior glass as assigned. Maintain cleanliness of manufacturing support areas such as walkways, locker rooms, tool cribs, and parts-staging zones (no machine cleaning required unless specified). Perform light cleaning in shop-floor areas, including sweeping aisles and spill cleanup following safety protocols. Inter-Facility Travel Commute between multiple company facilities during the workday based on a preset schedule or operational needs. Transport cleaning supplies or equipment between locations as required General Duties Monitor, restock, and organize janitorial supplies; notify supervisor when inventory is low. Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, spills, or equipment issues promptly. Secure all cleaning equipment and materials after use. Follow all company safety rules, PPE requirements, and OSHA-compliant cleaning procedures. Support special cleaning projects (e.g., deep cleaning, seasonal cleaning, event preparation). Qualifications Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environments. Ability to travel reliably between facilities (valid driver’s license if required). Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Commitment to safety, cleanliness standards, and confidentiality. Work Environment Will work in office areas as well as active manufacturing environments. Exposure to cleaning chemicals and occasional noise typical of industrial facilities. Must use appropriate PPE in designated areas.
