Description Key Duties/Responsibilities This position will oversee the welfare areas and maintaining a clean facility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum and sanitize designated areas Inspect and report cleanliness issues to management Use a combination of chemicals, water, and cleaning tools Comply with all SSI, federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and policies Organize janitorial storage Removal of waste and trash emptying Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Required Skills/Abilities Ability to follow directions and work well in a team Ability to verbally communicate with other departments Able to read and comprehend specifications and use them to accomplish tasks Ability to work in and around equipment Ability to read at a basic level to understand risks on MSD or chemical labels Education and Experience Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements Physical Requirements Regular periods of standing and walking, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping. Must be able to lift to50 pounds at times. Ability to spend short periods in a cold environment. Ability to move in, around and equipment/furniture.
