Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Custodian Team Leader will be a working janitorial position as well as oversee all aspects related to cleaning duties and materials inventory across all Divisions. REPORTS TO: General Manager of Property Division SUPERVISES: Custodians ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform daily cleaning duties of assigned location(s) Develop, lead and oversee the work of all custodians to maintain a clean environment across all locations Inventory control – Ordering, warehouse organization, and distribution across all locations Effective communication to bridge the overall Property Management team (Building, Grounds, Custodial) Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire Custodial process Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position. Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes. Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Previous custodial experience required. Previous Inventory Control experience preferred but not required Previous experience with a fork truck preferred but not required. Or willingness to learn. COMPETENCIES: Self-starter that takes initiative with a high attention to detail Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills with the ability to lead and motivate Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines Excellent attendance & punctuality Valid driver’s license required to drive company vehicle PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual Acuity: ability to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities. Responsibilities
