Description The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the YMCA facility. This position supports the YMCA mission by ensuring all areas are properly cleaned, sanitized, and maintained for members, staff, and guests. Requirements Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, fitness areas, offices, classrooms, and common spaces Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and empty trash throughout the facility Maintain cleanliness of windows, doors, and high-touch surfaces Set up and take down rooms for programs, events, and activities Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and restroom products Perform routine building checks to identify maintenance or safety concerns Assist with minor maintenance tasks as assigned Follow YMCA safety procedures and cleaning standards Ensure facility is secure during opening or closing shifts Provide friendly and professional customer service to members and guests
