Description SUMMARY Part-time role with flexible weekday hours. Keep plants clean and orderly by performing the following duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sweeps, mops, and scrubs around all presses and machinery in production areas, shipping/receiving areas, toolroom, restrooms and all hallways and office spaces Empties trash, recycling and garbage containers throughout the plants Cleans all restrooms thoroughly according to schedule Picks up debris from all exterior property as necessary Maintains stock of supplies Washes windows, inside and out, weather permitting Clean and preserve designated spaces, equipment etc. in the building as assigned Restock disposable items and provide inventory usage and data Maintain building and grounds security in the building Identify and report uncleaned areas and safety concerns Report work-related problems to maintenance Additional duties as assigned Essential Skills and Abilities: Perform cleaning in an efficient and effective manner Schedule time to perform all cleaning necessary in designated area without direct supervision Work effectively in a team atmosphere Maintain a positive attitude Ability to read and understand product labeling Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Responsibilities
The custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various areas of the plant, including production, shipping/receiving, and restrooms. Duties include sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, and reporting safety concerns.
