Description

Part time position: 2 to 3 days a week (up to 5 hours per day) Job Summary: The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of facility buildings and offices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Carry out general cleaning, maintenance, and appearance assignments in a timely manner. * Clean & maintain restrooms, offices, common areas, and custodial storage to satisfactory standards using established practices and procedures. * Safely operate, maintain, and inspect custodial equipment. Request for replacements as needed. * Conduct inventory and maintain an appropriate supply of cleaning products and tools. * Assist departments with task responsibilities that may arise on an as-needed basis. * Properly dispose of waste and recyclables. * Provide a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards. * Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety requirements. * Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workstation/environment at all times. * Perform all other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: * There are no supervisory responsibilities in this position. Education and Experience: * Education: High School or Equivalent * Experience: No experience required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions. * Familiar with operating, storing, and basic maintenance of custodial equipment supplies. * Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management. * Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description. * Able to comply with the company’s safety, quality, and environmental policies at all times. * Must be 18 years of age. Physical Demands and Work Environment: * Ability to bend, stand, kneel to lift objects of 50 pounds or more. * Ability to walk for long period of time around interior and exterior of facility. * Ability to use stairs and ladders. * Ability to work in areas subject to loud noise levels, odor, and airborne particles. * Ability to be respirator fit tested.
