Description

Becks Quality Cabinets, a family-owned custom cabinet shop in Suamico, WI, is searching for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the team as a highly experienced Custom Cabinet Engineer/CNC Programmer!
The Cabinet Engineer is responsible for the successful design and development of custom cabinetry projects. The engineer utilizes design software, cabinet expertise, and effective communication skills to ensure projects are set up for success. In this position, you will have the opportunity to be an integral part of the team that produces world-class quality with a local flare, while working in a team-oriented, fun environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of cabinet-industry experience is required.
  • Experience using Cabinet Vision or other computer-aided design software is required.
  • Must understand the layout, design, and fabrication of residential and/or commercial cabinetry.
  • Strong understanding of cabinet construction (both face frame and frameless) for best practices is required; knowledge and experience in cabinet installation is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Engineer and design custom cabinets from blueprints and customer specifications using Cabinet Vision software to ensure proper cabinet fit and function.
  • Review designs from sales/design team and ensure cabinet designs fit Company standards and maunfacturing/installation limitations.
  • Prepare shop drawings using Cabinet Vision for both residential and commercial projects.
  • Collaborate with sales/design and production team members to guarantee high-quality standards and manufacturability.
  • Create countertop drawings for ordering dimensions.
  • Create a material list for all products and materials needed and work with Purchasing to guarantee all materials arrive timely for start of production.
  • Ensure all building codes are followed, including ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements for commercial projects.
  • Makes certain that project scope and customer specifications are represented accurately in shop drawings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
