JOB DESCRIPTION

A fabricator/welder is the cornerstone of our private label manufacturing division, from air intake tubes to cat-back exhaust systems and everything in between. Our fabricator/welders cut, prep, fit and weld pipes and components together while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • While previous experience with Tig welding is a must, using various power tools and equipment and the ability to lift 30 lbs is a plus.
  • Knowledge of fabrication equipment and fixtures and ability to adjust and solve problems as needed.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Effective and professional communication skills-verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multitask.
  • Time management skills, prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations such as heavy/varying workload and order accuracy.
  • Logical troubleshooting skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment, flexibility

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience with Tig welding, required

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Perform various cutting, fitting, and preparation of product to pre-made jigs for a specific product through our work order system.
  • Fit, tack and tig weld fabrications complete.
  • Tools/equipment used daily - Tig welder, plasma cutter, bandsaw, chop saw, pipe expander, disc sander, and hand tools.
  • Make sure parts are clean and free of burs.
  • Polish exterior of products requiring this process.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area.
  • Maintenance of equipment used.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment clean and orderly and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Complete all required paperwork/ computer work correctly and timely.
  • Identify, properly tag, and remove non-conforming materials.
  • Other job duties assigned per the needs of the business.
