The Custom Homes Project Manager will take the reins in overseeing the entire lifecycle of custom home projects, from the initial planning stages to final delivery. This role demands a hands-on leader who can navigate high-end residential construction, manage various stakeholders, and deliver exceptional results. Your role will be crucial in maintaining quality, meeting deadlines, and ensuring client satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in custom home construction.
  • Expertise in high-end materials, finishes, and luxury homebuilding techniques.
  • Proven ability to manage complex site conditions and construct basement foundations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing custom home projects from start to finish.
  • Experience with building on in-fill lots is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
  • Proficiency in Buildertrend or similar construction management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
  • Proven experience in budget management, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ability to solve problems proactively and maintain attention to detail.
  • Must possess a truck, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to commute to job sites as required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of custom home construction, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, architects, designers, and contractors, ensuring a seamless construction experience.
  • Conduct regular inspections and enforce stringent quality control procedures to meet the highest standards.
  • Monitor job costs, approve purchase orders, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules for each phase of the project, ensuring smooth transitions and timely completion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Proactively address construction challenges to keep the project moving forward efficiently.
  • Leverage Buildertrend software for tracking project progress, communication, and documentation.
  • Ensure that all projects meet local building codes, permitting requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Ensure clients are kept informed throughout the process, addressing concerns promptly and delivering a superior final product.
