Description Location: Jackson, MI Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. About the Role Orbitform is seeking a Custom Machine Builder to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in assembling, wiring, and starting up custom machines that are built to meet our customers’ unique needs. This is a hands-on position that combines mechanical assembly, electrical troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineering and other team members to deliver high-quality, precision equipment. Requirements What You’ll Do Assemble machines including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Perform machine start-up, debug, and support customer run-offs as needed Assist senior builders with complex assemblies and learn from their expertise Provide technical feedback for product improvements and problem-solving Maintain a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction throughout the build process Work with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and improve processes What We’re Looking For 2–4 years of machine building or machine servicing experience Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly and controls drawings Knowledge of mechanical and electrical machine operations, with basic troubleshooting skills Experience with tools such as Word, Excel, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Project A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Work Environment & Physical Requirements Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles Seasonal temperatures (hot summers, cold winters) in the plant environment Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds Requires standing, bending, climbing, and use of hands/arms for extended periods Benefits & Perks We take care of our employees with a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance Short-Term Disability (STD) & Long-Term Disability (LTD) 10 Paid Holidays + Paid Time Off (PTO) Health Savings Account (HSA) Aflac supplemental options Why Join Orbitform?
