Description
The COE Engineer is responsible for accurately interpreting purchaser specifications and translating them into complex drawings and bills-of-material understandable by Manufacturing and Purchasing. The COE -is expected to be self-motivated, have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. The COE - will report to the El Paso facility and be the point of contact for engineering regarding all engineered orders for El Paso with support from Asheville Design Engineering team. The COE will also coordinate efforts with Pune team members if applicable. A. Develops a variety of complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs, which provides sufficient detail to accurately convey the purchaser's equipment application. B. Consults with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications. C. Coordinates mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products. D. Supports with C.O.D., Manufacturing and Purchasing activities - when required - in interpreting information for the accurate production of equipment in accordance with the purchaser's requirements. E. Consults with the Quality Department in resolving issues after the equipment is shipped, when required. F. Directs purchaser visits to approve or release equipment. G. Conducts special development/application projects of a complex nature. H. Informs in cost and cycle time improvement activities. I. Plans travel as required to support any of the above. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution OR an Associate's Degree with 3 years of electrical distribution experience. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered.
