HOURLY JOB OPPORTUNITY FORM Position Custom Samples Support DEPARTMENT Custom Samples Reports To Manager Post Start Post End Shift Posting No. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Operate sample coater and shear machine. Blow yarn into tube carts, set-up automatic blower based on custom specification sheets. Assist daily with sample processing / shipping, including: trimming, labeling and packing finished samples. Process the packaged samples into the UPS system for shipment. Assist sample machine operators when needed with various duties. Assist in the yarn processing area when needed with: inventory control, re-stocking yarn and pulling yarn for processing. Maintain the custom sample library including but not limited to: Pulling, re-filing and maintain custom sample folders as needed. General department housekeeping duties. . EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS · Knowledge of carpet quality standards. · Knowledge of Tufting processes · Knowledge with yarn sizes and types · Knowledge with Product Thread Up · Knowledge on how to operate Mini Coater and Mini Shear. · Communication skills to read, write, understand and discuss (in English) · Understand numerical and alphabetical lot numbers. · Work overtime as needed, including weekends PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Frequent: Handle, manual dexterity, lifts 15-20 lbs., reach, stand, stoop, and walk. Use personal protective equipment. Occasional: Balance, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, hear, kneel, and speak. Required: Close vision, color and depth perception. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS General warehouse environment. Background noise, dirt, oil, humidity, temperature variations. Work near moving mechanical parts.
