ROLE OVERVIEW

At Pickstock Telford we are looking for an ambitious and driven graduate to join our commercial team. As a self-motivated individual, you will be prepared to get hands-on in all areas of the business on a two-year progression path towards an account management role. The right candidate will push themselves to achieve fast-track opportunities and learn the skills required to handle your own sales accounts and potentially your own sector, in time.
Whilst we are a family run business with a reputation that’s built on quality, consistency and efficiency, we also have the backing of one of the world’s largest premium food providers, OSI Group, who have over 74 manufacturing facilities across 18 countries.
This position will be based on site at our main offices in Telford, with site visits to customers and networking events required. Reporting directly to one of the senior members of the commercial team, you will play an integral role in shaping future projects at Pickstock Telford.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The role will initially begin within the retail and foodservice side of our business and will include getting to know the business and becoming a key contact within our commercial team.
  • Providing administrative support for Key Account Managers and helping coordinate operations and logistics around existing customer requirements.
  • Managing customer orders and working closely with the Planning Manager to organise customer orders and overall stocks.
  • Supporting the account management team on pricing and creation of costings.
  • Day to day problem solving, taking ownership of arising challenges and seeing them through to completion.
  • Handling and scheduling on-site meetings, drafting agendas, and coordinating department contacts.
  • Project ownership – we have several projects in the pipeline, and we need a champion to drive these forwards. Each project provides an opportunity to make your mark on daily operations and present your progress to the senior management team.
