The Role This junior-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to begin a career in the fresh produce industry, supporting the wider Non-Retail Commercial Team at Barfoots. Working with some of the UK’s leading foodservice and wholesale customers, you’ll gain valuable insight into the commercial operations of a fast-paced, dynamic sector. You’ll provide administrative and customer-facing support, maintain accurate data, and help manage internal processes across Planning, Supply Chain, and Finance. The role also involves monitoring sales and inventory data to help spot opportunities, resolve challenges, and contribute to strong, service-led customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Supporting the Commercial Manager with daily customer activity Maintaining and updating internal systems and customer portals Assisting with product setup and coordination across teams Helping prepare reports and presentations Monitoring customer stock levels and supply issues Spotting commercial opportunities and flagging insights Liaising with Finance to help resolve invoice or payment queries Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience Ideally educated to A Level or equivalent level Previous FMCG or Food/Produce experience desirable Strong understanding of customer relationship management Ability to project/priority manage Analytical capability Commercial Awareness Strong interpersonal skills / relationship building both internal and external Excellent communication and presentation skills Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications Full UK driving Licence Why Work for Barfoots?
