What You’ll Do We are looking for a Customer Account Manager to join our Account Management Team to make an outstanding contribution to the growth of our regional sales capability. You will operate as part of a passionate and successful team, our Customer Account Managers sell Avalara's complete range of Tax Technology solutions and services to our customers in the EMEA region, and working with our Customer Success Team to gain intimate knowledge or our customers business and deliver an excellent experience. You will work on a hybrid basis with expectations of 1-2 days per week from our London or Brighton office and you will report into the team manager. What Your Responsibilities Will Be Establish and grow professional relationship and network with users at all levels, up to the executive level Build lead generation campaigns and use networking opportunities and technologies to increase sales with existing ecommerce, retail, software projects requiring tax or cross-border compliance solutions Manage a pipeline of cross-sell and upsell opportunities within a set of existing accounts and achieve/exceed monthly booking goals Provide sales forecasts and risk analysis using Salesforce Deliver engaging sales presentations and webinars Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service fees to create a win-win scenario for all parties involved Collaborate with a Customer Success Manager to ensure customer satisfaction and retention What You'll Need to be Successful Experience in a quota-carrying sales role Knowledge of Indirect Tax or VAT 2+ years' experience in B2B selling of managed services, SaaS software or VAT related services Experience establishing communication and engagement with customers, while coordinating efforts, sharing information, and addressing any internal issues or concerns related to the accounts Territory and account planning discipline Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities Curious and comfortable in a dynamic work setting Specialised knowledge of the retail, software, logistics, finance, accounting, or tax industries would be a distinct advantage Avalara is an AI-first Company AI is embedded in our workflows, decision-making, and products.
