To support a period of sustained growth, we are on the immediate look-out for a dynamic Newbuilds Account Manager.
An office based role, at our Exeter HQ, with occasional UK and international travel to meet clients or attend events, the ideal candidate will be a people person, a natural team player and someone who is eager to learn, grow and build a longer term career.
This involves building first class relationships with purchasing teams to establish what they need to buy across a broad range of product categories - from engineering to deck, galley and interior - and sourcing the best suppliers and products to meet their needs.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • Highly organised, detail oriented and comfortable handing admin, CRM data and reports.
  • High proficiency with IT tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Confident, friendly and great at building rapport with clients and colleagues in a collaborative culture.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to execute dedicated account growth plans.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and intuitive understanding of customer needs.
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Motivated to learn, grow and take on new responsibilities over time
  • Knowledge of, or a desire to learn about, the maritime industry
  • Eagerness to stay informed on market trends and industry insights.
  • Flexible and open to occasional UK and overseas travels

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Account Management: Manage a portfolio of customers accounts, preparing quotes, processing orders. Maintaining CRM records, support reporting and pipeline updates.
  • Account Growth: Execute and maintain dedicated Account Growth Plans to drive growth within your key accounts. Proactively identify barriers to growth and work cross-functionally to create solutions.
  • Strategic Focus: Share and implement strategic tactics within the team to support overall account growth.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage new and dormant customers, reigniting business opportunities and identifying new areas for growth, such as offering additional services.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including the Expeditor team, to prioritise and meet customer needs, ensuring timely quotes, deliveries, and customer satisfaction.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve client queries, working with relevant departments to find swift and effective solutions.
  • Sales Trips: Attend sales trips to meet key accounts, solidifying relationships and executing account plans.
  • Learning and Development: Continuously develop new skills and stay informed about relevant legislation and its impact on customers and suppliers.
