What you’ll do: This entry-level position will play an important role in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and supporting the success of our outside sales team. Our collaborative team is prepared to support getting the right individual up and running for success in this role. This role enhances customer experience by strengthening key account relationships, supporting national sales representatives, and contributing to both retention and new business initiatives. The position also works closely with our Customer Service team, providing essential administrative and clerical support for the Floral Wholesale division. Through seamless communication, accurate order processing, and consistent service delivery, this role helps maintain strong partnerships and supports ongoing revenue growth. Customer Service & Account Support · Serve as the primary daily point of contact for the outside sales representative group, providing guidance, resources, and timely support to keep field operations running smoothly. · Manage order entry, tracking, and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. Sales & Relationship Development · Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and sales representatives. · Support sales representatives with quotes, product photos, pricing lists, and promotional materials. · Identify opportunities to increase sales through promoting new products and working with sales reps on revenue generating programs. · Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and follow up materials. · Participate in outbound communication efforts to nurture leads and strengthen customer engagement. · Participate in industry trade shows to represent the brand, build relationships, drive sales, understand trends and stay closely attuned to competitor strategies and initiatives. · Travel regularly with our outside sales team to visit key accounts, strengthen relationships, and gain deep insight into the business. Business Development & Operational Support · Collaborate with internal teams (operations, logistics, marketing, finance) to ensure seamless customer experience. · Track sales activity, customer interactions, and order history in company ERP systems. · Develop annual promotional calendars and sales representative incentive programs, continuously tracking performance and driving ongoing improvement. · Relies on data analysis to foster revenue growth and guide customers’ business growth. Support trade shows, customer visits, and industry events as needed, as well as maintaining showroom merchandising. · Suggests process improvements and creates SOPs around all activity, looking for efficiencies and continued improvement · Contribute actively to a collaborative sales team culture, stepping in to support colleagues and maintain performance during peak periods. What you’ll need: · Preferred qualifications include interest in customer service, sales, and business development. Candidates who are recent college graduates with relevant internship experience will be considered. · Desire to work with an outside sales rep group to drive sales and provide them with support. · Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. · Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly. · A positive, solutions-oriented attitude that supports both customer satisfaction and sales growth. · Interest in sales processes, account management, and relationship development. · Comfortable collaborating across departments and supporting both customers and outside sales representatives. · Excellent customer service mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach. · Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and customer requests in a fast-paced environment. · Ability to work with ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and general business software. · Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into action. · Willingness to travel regularly for customer visits, field support, and industry events, up to 30%.
