Job Description We are looking for a friendly and organised Customer Care Representative to join a fast-paced and exciting environment and be a welcoming face to our clients and their pets! ARH Wollongong is a busy, state-of-the-art emergency hospital that sees a variety of pets and medical cases. We pride ourselves on offering the highest standard of patient care with a focus on offering our clients exceptional customer service. We are looking for a Customer Care Representative to cover a Maternity Leave position - this is a welcoming and amazing team that works cohesively together and shares a passion for providing premium pet care and customer service. Maternity Leave Contract - now through to June 2026. Hours: Every Monday & Tuesday 5:30pm - 12am, with the addition of ability to pick up any annual leave, personal leave, public holiday shifts that may come up. As a part of the Customer Care team, your duties will include: Handling a high volume of inbound calls Welcoming clients and their pets to the hospital Booking and managing appointments Invoicing and taking payments - including cash and EFTPOS Processing payments on Vetpay and Medipay finance platforms Data entry and requesting documents from referring vets and clients Managing email enquiries Liaising with referring vets About your experience and skill: Minimum 2 years' experience in a reception/customer service role Ability to remain calm under pressure, during busy times, emergency situations or while dealing with difficult clients Strong computer literacy skills Experience with appointment entries, invoicing, and taking payments Ability to manage your time effectively Amazing attention to detail Friendly, warm and professional phone manner with the ability to converse with a range of different people with compassion and empathy Strong interpersonal and relationship skills Flexibility to work a range of shifts and availability during busy peak seasons (Christmas, Easter, school holidays) We Offer: This position offers an opportunity to work with some of the best veterinarians, veterinary nurses and customer care representatives in the Illawarra.
