CUSTOMER CASH APPLICATION & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST (TEMPORARY)

Location: Remote
Duration: 2-3 months
Schedule: Part time Monday – Friday with flexible hours
Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour

JOIN OUR TEAM AS A TEMPORARY CUSTOMER CASH APPLICATION & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable professional to assist with cash application and collections. This temporary role supports the accounting department by ensuring timely and accurate application of customer payments and proactive collection of outstanding balances.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, and collections
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in NetSuite and Mondays.com a plus
  • Familiarity with electronic remittance processing

Responsibilities
  • Apply incoming customer payments (checks, ACH, credit card) accurately and timely
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash
  • Contact customers regarding past-due balances via phone and email
  • Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate AR records
  • Generate and distribute customer statements
  • Work with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Document all collection activities in system
