Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the pick and pack functions of the warehouse for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer orders
  • Be knowledgeable in all aspects of the customer delivery functions including large retail requirements and small independent pharmacy needs
  • Be flexible in your work to allow the warehouse to react to day-to-day despatch requirements
  • Take guidance from the Customer Delivery Team Leader to manage daily workload
  • Be responsible for achieving your agreed Key Performance Indicators as outlined and agreed with your line manager.
  • Prioritise the pack and despatch of orders in line with customer needs, liaising with the Customer Delivery Team Leader, Replenishment Team Leader, Production Inventory Team Leader, Supply Chain Planner, Customer Care Manager, and others as required
  • Ensure the warehouses operate in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety, and environmental requirements to ensure safety of self and others e.g., use of Forklift & pallet trucks and ladders, manual handling, hazardous substances, use of PPE etc
  • Ensure the warehouses operate in accordance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
  • Support the production of gifts, stickered stock, and any other promotional activities as requested to do so
  • Maintain records relating to the storage and issue of CHEP pallets
  • Assist in coordinating the delivery and collection of inbound and outbound deliveries and to ensure that external suppliers (e.g., Viking, Parcel Force and Royal Mail) perform to the Supplier Level Agreement (SLA) levels
  • Ensure Standard Operational Procedures, including the use of NAV and Handheld Scanners, are always followed
  • Take part in all warehouse related staff training
  • Support the Customer Delivery Team Leader with KPI reporting
  • Support stock taking activity including ad hoc inventory checks and counts
  • Support the Replenishment Team Leader in ensuring the feeds are replenished on time, are well maintained, and are prioritised based on popularity
  • Support the Customer Delivery Team Leader in ensuring out of stocks are well communicated with the Assistant Warehouse Manager, Supply Chain Planner, and the Customer Care Team
  • Support the Assistant Warehouse Manager in the delivery of operational improvements
  • Perform the duties of a Production Operative when required
  • Provide cover for the Customer Delivery and Fulfilment Team Leader
