Based in Norton St, Hockley, Birmingham, Savekers Solutions (part of the Thomas Storey Group of Companies) is a bespoke manufacturer of metal fabrications working in mild steel, stainless, brass and aluminium supplying a diverse range of clients across a wide variety of sectors. We are now looking to recruit a commercially astute manager, to manage and develop customer relationships.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within manufacturing, engineering, or B2B sales.
  • Strong commercial awareness with proven experience in developing and managing customer relationships.
  • Good IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an outgoing and engaging personality.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Customer Development Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end customer journey, from initial enquiry through to delivery. This role will focus on building strong, long-term relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring the company provides effective, tailored solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain close relationships with both existing and new customers by understanding their needs and challenges, identifying opportunities where the business can provide solutions.
  • Manage the complete sales process from enquiry through to despatch, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience.
  • Work closely with internal teams across production, design, and administration to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated, understood, and delivered to the highest standard.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer accounts, handling queries, concerns, and feedback professionally and proactively.
  • Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities for growth within new and existing markets.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on customer activity, pipeline, and performance against targets.
