Background
University degree (completed, scientific studies) or pharmaceutical representative training according to §75 AMG.
Experienced and independent Customer Engagement Manager (CEM) for the field of Oncology (Solid Tumors). Responsible for communication about our products and their application for suitable patients by utilizing and expanding external networks and connected structures to successfully position our oncology products in the market. Building and maintaining strong business relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs) and oncologists to strengthen our market presence and promote loyalty to our products. Responsible for creating Customer Engagement Plans and implementing Customer Journeys and campaigns.

Job Summary (Primary function)

  • Product-related communication, communication to inform opinion leaders and decision-makers about our products and their application.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with leading Key External Experts (KEEs), oncologists, and oncology networks in the region to strengthen the company’s position in oncology (solid tumors).
  • Implementation of strategies to increase the visibility of INCYTE and understanding of its products in central and/or regional customer structures in the oncology community.
  • Development and implementation of strategic Customer Engagement Plans for the territory to maximize sales and market share in this area.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks early.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and internal company guidelines.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
1. Relationship Management with Key External Experts (KEEs):
o Identifying and maintaining long-term, strategic relationships with leading Key External Experts (KEEs) and oncologists to expand the company’s scientific and clinical expertise.
o Organizing and participating in scientific events, networking and professional events, congresses, and meetings to promote dialogue with external experts, increase the company’s visibility, and establish contacts with potential customers.
2. Product Positioning:
o Strategy Development: Close collaboration with the marketing and brand team to develop tailored strategies that highlight the unique benefits of our products. These strategies should be aligned with the needs and expectations of the target audience.
o Communication: Ensuring that product messages are communicated clearly and convincingly to the target audience. This can be done through presentations, training, and the provision of informational materials.
3. Sales and Marketing:
o Sales and promotion of INCYTE’s oncology products.
o The position is responsible for proactively and sustainably using all available communication channels – including email, webinars, video conferences, telephone, and direct contacts – to ensure consistent and effective customer engagement.
o Ensuring that customers have a comprehensive understanding of the product’s benefits and features.
o Development and implementation of targeted sales and marketing initiatives to promote product acceptance and usage.
4. Market Observation:
o Market Information Provision: Collecting and analyzing market data to provide the CEM team with valuable insights that support their sales strategies. This includes information about market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
o Trend and Competitor Analysis: Proactively staying informed about the latest developments in the field of solid tumors. Analyzing how these trends could affect our products and adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
o Feedback and Recommendations: Regular feedback to management and the brand team to ensure that our products meet market requirements and remain competitive.
5. Reporting:
o Management Communication: Regular communication to management about important developments and successes to ensure that all relevant information is incorporated into strategic planning.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

  • Completed studies in business administration, natural sciences, or a related field; an MBA is an advantage.
  • Pharmaceutical representative training according to §75 AMG.
  • Completed studies in a relevant field (e.g., medicine, pharmacy, biosciences).
  • Several years of experience in the oncology market, preferably in the field of solid tumors.
  • Ideally, an existing network of Key External Experts (KEEs) and oncologists.
  • In-depth knowledge of national networking activities and the ability to use them effectively.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.

  • Hervorragende Kommunikations- und Influencing Skills.
